Terms of use

Future Fan Panel is a Monterosa product, not a separate company. The controller of your data is Monterosa Productions Limited, registered in England and Wales (04716325), 3B, The Plaza (floor 3), 100 Old Hall Street, Liverpool L3 9QJ. Fantenna is the Monterosa brand under which we sell fan intelligence; a Fantenna customer is one of the organisations that buys it. How we handle your data is in the privacy notice, which forms part of these terms and wins if the two disagree about your data.
Applicable law: UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, Data (Use and Access) Act 2025, PECR, Consumer Rights Act 2015, Equality Act 2010. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
The licence you grant us
This is the headline term, and it is the same in both countries we run in.
Licence over derived insights. By participating in the Future Fan Panel panel, you grant Fantenna and its commercial customers a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, irrevocable, perpetual licence to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, publish, and create derivative works from the insights derived from your responses, for any commercial or research purpose. "Insights derived" means transcripts, summaries, themes, sentiment scores, classifications, statistical analyses, aggregate figures, and quotes attributed solely to your pseudonymous panellist handle and the avatar you picked. This licence is irrevocable insofar as the relevant insight has already been generated; you can stop new insights being generated at any time by withdrawing consent or closing your account.
Licence over raw recordings. You grant Fantenna a separate, time-limited, non-sublicensable, non-publishable internal-processing licence over the recordings you submit. Fantenna may use them solely to generate the insights described above. Fantenna will not publish, sell, syndicate, display, or otherwise expose a recording to any third party, including Fantenna's customers. A raw recording is destroyed within 60 days of submission. The avatar on your profile is an illustration you choose from a set we drew; nothing about it is generated from you.
Privacy of identity. Customers and other third parties never receive your real name, real face, real voice, contact details, or any combination of attributes that could re-identify you. Customers see your pseudonymous panellist handle, the avatar you chose, and the insights derived from your responses, and nothing else.
Withdrawal. You may withdraw consent or close your account at any time. Withdrawal stops the future processing of your data. Insights already generated and licensed to customers cannot be unlicensed, because customers have already used them in decisions, but on request we sever the underlying record from your panellist handle so that what remains is pseudonymised and we hold no means of attributing it to you.
No republishing.Fantenna warrants that a recording will never be published or sold, and that if Fantenna's storage or systems are breached such that a recording is exposed, Fantenna will treat the event as a personal data breach: we will tell the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours of becoming aware of it, and tell you without undue delay.
Being selected for a survey
Membership does not entitle you to be selected for any survey, paid or otherwise. Some surveys are open to every member, and you can take those whenever you like. For other pieces of work we select a group of members, and that selection is ours to make, based on what the work needs. There may be periods in which we run no paid or incentivised surveys at all.
Joining the panel is not an offer of work. It creates no obligation on Monterosa or its partners to provide paid opportunities to you or to any other member.
Who can join
You must be 18 or over and live in the United Kingdom or Ireland. One account per person, and it is yours: you cannot share it or pass it on. What you tell us about yourself must be true.
We may hold, suspend or close an account if we reasonably think these terms have been broken, or that answers have been given in bad faith. We will tell you when we do, and we will tell you why.
How the panel works
You sign up with your email address, an age bracket, your country and postal area, and whatever you choose to tell us about your interests. There is no password: we email you a link and you click it. We invite you to short surveys about sport, viewing habits and what you think of both. Some questions let you record a voice note instead of typing.
At sign-up we ask you to agree to two things: to take part, and to let the insights drawn from your answers reach Fantenna customers. Nothing is ticked for you. If you do not agree to both, we cannot open an account, because between them they are what membership is. Marketing email is a separate question and you can say no to it and still join.
You can change any of this yourself at /me/consents, one switch at a time. Withdrawing either of the two required consents closes your account.
Answering before you have an account
You can answer a survey without registering, and we save your answers as you go. The screen before the first question tells you that we store them and use them for fan research, and starting the survey is how you agree to it. If you go on to register, those answers are linked to your member record and the consents you give then govern what happens next.
To have such a response deleted, email hello@futurefanpanel.com from the address you gave us, or tell us which survey you took and roughly when, and we will find it and remove it. We are not able to give you a reference number for it today.
AI, and the one automated check
We use AI to read your answers and produce the insights described above. Our providers are under contract not to train on your data or keep it.
One automated check runs, on the survey you fill in to apply to join. It looks at whether you reached the end, whether you finished faster than the questions can be read, and whether you picked the same option for nearly every question. It refuses nobody. It can put your application in a queue for a person to look at, with the reason written out, and a named member of staff decides. If you think that decision was wrong, email us and a different person will look again.
What we ask of you
Answer as yourself, with what you actually think. Do not use a bot, a script or an automated tool to take part. Do not try to reach another member's account or our systems, do not scrape the site, and do not republish our survey questions, which are ours.
We do not promise that any answer you give will be used, will appear in a report, or will be seen by any organisation connected to your sport.
Leaving
You can leave whenever you like, from /me/data, where you can also ask for a copy of everything we hold. Deleting your account stops us processing your data on the basis of your consent. The privacy notice says what survives and why.
Changes to these terms
We may update them. If a change matters to you we will email members rather than leave you to find it.
Other terms in brief
- If you are selected for a paid or incentivised survey, the payment would be for your time, and it would be sent through the payments provider named on our sub-processors page, once we have accepted your response. Being a member does not entitle you to be selected for one, and we may run none for a stretch.
- Anything to do with the panel, including a complaint or a dispute: hello@futurefanpanel.com. We reply within three working days. If we cannot settle it between us, nothing here stops you going to a court or to a regulator, and the tab at the top of this page names yours.
